Vanessa López

Founding Coach and Consultant

Vanessa López is an artist, educator and writer who was raised by a long line of women who taught her how to speak truth, love hard, and survive with style — lineages she carries into every space she enters.

For over two decades, Vanessa has explored the intersections of race, urban education, embodiment, and art. As a published writer and organic intellectual, her work has appeared in Souls: A Critical Journal of Black Politics, Culture, and Society, Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy, and the Art Education Journal. She also fills Moleskin journals with personal musings on life, loss, and liberation.

A graduate of Purchase College (SUNY) and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Vanessa builds learning environments where creativity, justice, and fierce love can thrive — spaces that hold the complexity of being angry, tired, beautiful, connected, and alive.

She makes things that grow and die.
