David Clifford is an American benevolent edu-agitator who foundedDesign School X (DSX), co-created Liberatory Design, as well as co-founded the East Bay School for Boys. He builds irresistible learning environments of belonging and becoming. David has been an artist, metalsmith, designer, builder, shop teacher, Stanford fellow, and equity/social justice-oriented educator for over 28 years. Much of this time has been spent co-designing curriculum and culture to build creative opportunities that inspire humanity and creative agents of change. David is currently the Director of Design and Making at the Head-Royce School Collaboratory. David is a husband of nearly 25 years, father of two fierce daughters, a musician, gardener and 35-year resident of Oakland, California. LinkedIn
